StoGo Terms of Service

​1. 📖 Definitions

Let’s speak the same language—no tech-speak, promise.

  • StoGo, we, us: Your friendly, community-powered helpers in Jersey.

  • Customer, you, your: Anyone booking our Services (that’s you!).

  • Services: All we do for you—deliveries, house and car cleaning, lawn mowing, domestic chores—always with a smile.

  • Booking: Your confirmed request for one or more Services, made via website, phone, or messaging/chat.

 

2. ✅ Acceptance of Terms

When you:

  • Browse our site,

  • Hit “Book Now,” or

  • Call or message to book,

you agree to these Terms plus our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy. If you disagree, please don’t use our site or services.

 

3. 👤 Who Can Book

To use StoGo, you must:

  • Be 18 or older and legally able to sign a contract under Jersey law.

  • Provide accurate / up-to-date info when registering and booking.

  • Keep your login details secret—anyone using your account is on you.

 

4. 📅 Booking & Confirmation

  1. Make a Booking: Online is easiest as you can check availability and select from your preferred day and time slot, but phone or message works too.

  2. Check Availability: If you can’t see a day and time that suits you, phone or message us to see if it is something we can arrange.

  3. Get Confirmation: We email or text your date, time, pick-up/drop-off spots, and services.

  4. Time Constraints: The time slot you choose helps us map out our day, but it’s not a minute-perfect guarantee. We’ll always aim to be on time – just know that traffic, earlier bookings, or the odd seagull standoff might cause delays.

  5. Spot an Error? Tell us right away so we can fix it.

5. 🧽 Our Services

We deliver top-quality help every time—sometimes with trusted local partners.

We aim to be on time, but Jersey’s weather, traffic, or cheeky seagulls might slow us down. Thanks for your patience! 🌦️

 

6. 🚚 Collection & Delivery

Before Pickup

  • Easy Access: No obstacle courses—clear paths, unlocked gates, no garage clutter.

  • Safe Packing: Wrap or box items so they don’t break or scratch.

  • Right Spot: Have everything at the agreed pick-up location.

  • Extra Muscle: Big/heavy items need an extra pair of hands—our team won’t risk injury or damage to your items.

If an item won’t fit in our van, we may have to say “no” and charge the booked fee—because our wheels and crew showed up for you.

At Drop-Off

  • Clear Space: No cars or garden furniture in the way.

  • Be Home: We need you to greet us.

  • Buddy Lift: Heavy pieces need two people.

We only deliver—we don’t unpack, assemble, or rearrange your living room. If it won’t fit through your door, we’ll leave it outside, sorry!

7. 🚫 Hazardous & Restricted Goods

Some things are just too risky to carry. We won’t take anything classed as dangerous under UK or international rules (ADR, IMDG, IATA).

That includes, for example:

  • Explosives or fireworks

  • Petrol, gas canisters, paint thinners

  • Bleach, battery acid, pesticides

  • Radioactive or infectious materials

  • Items needing special licences or gear.

Basically, if it burns, goes boom or melts the cargo bay floor - it's a no from us!

You promise not to book these. If in doubt, ask us first—we’re happy to help. Otherwise, we may refuse or safely dispose of the item, no liability on us.

8. 🏡 Domestic Services Prep & Access


Here’s the quick checklist for any house-cleaning, lawn-mowing, or other domestic service booking.

  • Clear & Safe Entry: Make sure our team can get to all the areas you’ve booked—no obstacles, unlocked gates, gates, or tripping hazards.

  • Tools On Hand: Have any job-specific gear ready— lawn mower, working hoover, dusters, buckets, extension leads, etc—unless we’ve agreed to supply them.

  • Utilities Ready: If you’ve asked for water-based tasks (car or window cleaning, power washing), please have a working tap, hose, or bucket on hand.

  • Tuck Away Valuables & Pets: Stow anything fragile, secure loose pets, and move obstacles so our pros can focus on the job.

  • Buddy Lift Heavy Items: For any heavy or bulky bits (sofas, fridges, garden planters), a second pair of hands from your end keeps everyone safe.

 

9. 💳 Fees & Payment

  • Locked-in Price: Your fee is set when we confirm your Booking.

  • Pay on Start or Completion of Service: Unless we agree otherwise in writing.

  • Accepted: Visa, Mastercard (no AMEX), Apple Pay, Google Pay. Need another way? Just ask.

  • Refunds: Non-refundable, except where Jersey law requires.

 

10. 🤝 Your Part

Please help us help you by:

  • Giving clear instructions (what to pick up, where to go).

  • Making sites safe (clear trip hazards, provide water/power if needed).

  • Telling us about risks (pets, loose floors, tight staircases).

  • Treating our crew with respect—they’re people, not robots!

11. 🛡️ Our Promise & Insurance

  • We do our best under the Supply of Goods and Services (Jersey) Law 2009.

  • All StoGo team members carry ID and are covered by public liability insurance.

  • If we cancel, choose a new slot or get a full refund—your call.

12. 🔄 Cancellations & Rescheduling

 

For You:

  • If you cancel one hour or more before your booked time slot, there’s no fee—it’s totally free.

  • If you cancel less than an hour before, we charge 50% of the booking fee.

  • If you don’t show up and give us no notice, we charge the full amount (100%).

 

If your plans change, please let us know as early as possible—time slots are carefully planned to keep everything running smoothly for you and other customers too.

For Us:

  • We might also need to reschedule in cases of severe weather, unexpected staff illness, or other unforeseen events.

  • We may also reschedule due to severe weather, staff illness, or other unexpected events.

 

13. ⚖️ Limitation of Liability

Our total responsibility is capped at what you paid for the Service. We’re not liable for indirect losses—unless it’s personal injury or death, in which case we fully back you.

 

14. 💼 Your Legal Rights

These Terms don’t override your rights under Jersey’s Supply of Goods and Services law—like a repeat service or price reduction if we underperform.

 

15. 🧩 Fairness & Reasonableness

If any term is judged unfair under Jersey standards, it simply won’t apply. Everything else stays in place.

 

16. ✅ Consumer Protection

No sneaky fees, no pressure sales. We follow Jersey’s Consumer Protection (Unfair Practices) Law 2018 to the letter.

  4. Still stuck? You can escalate to Jersey courts or the appropriate body.

 

18. 🎨 Intellectual Property

All text, images, and logos on our site belong to StoGo or our partners. Please don’t reuse or remix without our written permission.

 

19. 🔐 Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and handle your personal data per our Privacy Policy. By using StoGo, you agree to how we store and use your info—always with care.

20. 🔒 Termination

We can pause or end your access if you breach these Terms, act illegally, or treat our team badly. Any fees or obligations you owe before termination still stand.

 

21. ✍️ Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms now and then. When we do, we post a new date on our site. Continuing to use StoGo means you accept the latest version.

 

22. ⚖️ Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Jersey law. Any disputes go to Jersey’s courts.
